About the FV107 Scimitar – Armoured Reconnaissance Vehicle
A rugged and versatile reconnaissance vehicle, the FV107 Scimitar was born into the Cold War. Manufactured by Alvis (now BAE Systems) and put into service in 1971, the Scimitar is part of the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) (CVR(T)) family. An offshoot of the FV101 Scorpion, the Scimitar is equipped with a lighter, faster-firing cannon.
